Born in Vietnam, raised in Calgary, Canada, Hung Vanngo always dreamed of being a makeup artist. He spent most of his time sketching and painting faces and shortly after graduating high school, he pursued his dream.

He relocated to Toronto in 2003 to furthur his career; then moved again to New York City in 2006.

Hung has done covers and editorials for magazines such as Allure, Glamour (US & German), Cosmopolitan, Surface, Elle, Fashion, Flare, Seventeen and British New Woman.

Top photographers he has worked with in the fashion industry include Michel Comte, Alistair Taylor-Young, Marc Baptiste, David Stesner, Terry Doyle, Gabor Jurina, John Van Der Schilden, Chris Nicholls, Antoine Verglas, Raphael Mazzucco, David Ferrura, Bryan Adams, Max Abadian, Leda & St. Jaques, Miguel Jacob and Geoff Barrenger.

He has also worked on advertising campaigns for Holt Renfrew, Lancome, Loreal, Proctor and Gamble, Ports, Lida Baday, Marlowe, Harry Rosen, Parasuco Jeans, Winners, Danier Leather, Badgley Mischka and many others.

His hard work and dedication to this art has garnished him the praise of many of his industry peers, whom honored him with many awards. His collection had most recently included the 2005 Canadian Network of Makeup Artists in the Best Editorial makeup artist of the year category and in 2004, Vanngo became the first winner of Lancome's Canadian Makeup Artist of the Year Award.

Vanngo is currently based in New York City.
